Rates & Fees

Wind & Water Interior Decorating offers a wide range of professional interior decorating consultation services to Winnipeg and surrounding areas. Our consultation fees depend on the services provided, duration, and commute times.

Hourly Rates

Decorating consultation fees are $125 per hour (unless a client has purchased a package with a signed service agreement). All hourly rates are charged in 15 minute increments.

New Home Construction & Renovation Packages

The following packages are designed to assist clients with all interior materials selections and includes a colour scheme. They may also include: window covering design/selection and furniture/accessories selections. Please note that only one revision allowed per package.

New Home Construction - Selections for cabinetry (profile and materials), flooring, countertops, lighting, fireplace details (cultured stone, tile, or brick). Fees* vary according to the size and scale of the project and level of responsibilities under signed service agreement.
Renovations - Fees* vary according to the size and scale of the project and level of responsibilities under signed service agreement.
Corporate/Commercial/Hospitality - An initial consultation is required to determine the scope of the project and if working drawings are required. Please email or call for details. We'd love to set up a consultation to ascertain your needs!

For feng shui clients only: an additional $575 is added to the hourly rate. This includes a mailed written report.

*Only through careful consideration of the project, and all that it entails, can a successful fee negotiation be achieved.

Furniture Shopping & Pre-Selections for Clients

The fees or rates for this service vary depending on the amount of shopping/pre-selections that is required for the project. For a few small items it can be as little as $125 per hour. A flat rate fee starting at $750 and up is charged for full rooms and depends on the size. No revisions for flat rate fee agreements/packages. Any revisions are charged at a rate of $125 per hour.

Feng Shui Rates

Feng Shui consultations are charged at $125 per hour + $575. This can include all or any of the following: a color palette, recommendation for furniture layout and/or recommendations for accessories and/or artwork. Written reports are mailed to clients. If more assistance is required (i.e. furniture sourcing and selection, drapery fabric selection and design, materials for renovation/new construction) a package rate will be added to the invoice along with a signed service agreement, in addition to the hourly and feng shui fees.

Flooring Sample Pick-up and Return

For hourly consults only, an additional charge of $42.50 will be added to invoice for pick-up and return of flooring samples. This does not apply for flat rate/full service clients.

Consultations Outside Winnipeg

Commutes that are 10 minutes past the Perimeter Highway in any direction, will be charged at an additional $62.50. If 45 mins or more past the Perimeter, please email or call for additional travel rate info.

Drafting

Drafting services are available upon request only. A site visit is necessary for measuring and adding details. The pricing/fee for drafting is dependent on level and amount of work, time, and detail required (i.e. working drawings vs. conceptual (not to scale) sketches).

Payment Methods & GST

Wind & Water Interior Decorating accepts cash or cheque only. Flat rate services are invoiced and paid in full along with a signed service agreement with the client. By the hour fees are invoiced and paid upon completed consultation.
